About Us

Our founder, Brad Orlich was born here in the Valley of the Sun where his father, Sam Orlich began developing real estate back in 1959. Sam built his reputation on honesty, integrity, and trust over several decades and established long-standing relationships with landowners, development partners and investors. At Santa Barbara Homes these relationships are the foundation of our success.

Brad got involved with the​ construction industry ​doing commercial tenant improvements ​and seismic retrofit​ work​ in Santa Barbara​, California after graduating from UC Santa Barbara in the late ‘80s​​​​. Soon after, he got married and moved with his wife to Las Vegas to take advantage of the construction boom in the early ’90s where he was a piece-work framer. In 1995 Brad moved back home to Scottsdale, Arizona and founded Santa Barbara Homes. His idea was simple — build the finest homes wherever he built. Today, Santa Barbara Homes continues to do just that. Our custom homes highlight our passion for creative design and quality craftsmanship every step of the way.

When he is not in the office or on the job site Brad enjoys time with his family in the pool, hiking our local mountains and relaxing on the beach.
